Post subject:  BLE shield

I have a ble shield from red bear labs. I would like to use it to send strings and numbers to. This will ultimately send values from a speedometer I built with arduino to my phone. I am not familiar with the basic commands to send values from the shield. how do I use BLE firmata library and ble library. can someone please explain the arduino code for how to send values from the shield to my phone. Also, is there an app that I can use, or would I have to create my own?

Hello Noam,
allthough this BLE-Shield board is for the one I created, not the RedBearLabs one, I will try to help you out :-)

My experience with the firmate based BLE-Shield from RBL is somewhat low. I think you can get support from their webpage: http://redbearlab.com/bleshield/

Theis lib is available from: https://github.com/RedBearLab/Release/r ... v1.0.2.zip
and they have an iOS app available as well: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ble-arduino/id547628998
We I remember correctly they have a library for iOS as well to speed up iOS app development as well.

Finally I think you will get help from them as well, if you post questions to their support forum.

Thanks for contacting me using this forum,

thanks. How do I get your BLE shield. I was under the impression that the Red Bear labs one was the only one.
