Questions about the Bluetooth module, Bluetooth in general

I'm in the early stages of designing a bluetooth module to read "data" from my motorcycle. Very basically, I'm capturing information from a heat sensor, speed information from a magnetic wheel sensor, and various switches (turn signal, neutral light, high beams).

I've been considering using a serial cable setup, but that ties me to a particular device plus it's clunky. I want to create setup that works will with multiple mobile devices but can be invisible if I prefer to just stick to the stock instrument cluster.

One of the things I was wondering is if it's possible to connect more than one device to the bluetooth module at the same time? Or would this require more than one module?

Hi,
the BLE112 and the Stack implementation supports multiple connections.
You will get a handle for each connection in order to distinguish the connections while reading data.
I never tried this, but it should work.

Cheers,
Michael.

I've since discovered that BLE is only supported on iOS.
