Doesn't Show Up in BLExplr App

I was so excited to get my shield in yesterday. I plugged on my Arduino (Duemilanove) and upload the Software Serial sketch. I opened the BLExplr app and everything went great. After a while the app told me that the bluetooth device had disconnected. Now it will not show up in the list of the BLExplr app at all. I've also tried to download some other BLE apps and it won't show up in those either.

Any suggestions on what I need to do?

Hi Jon,
In which position is S1 ? 2/3 or 1/0 ?
Which sketch have you uploaded to the Arduino you are refering to?

Have you tried to kill BLExplr on the iPhone and tried again?
The Blue LED was lit during the initial connection you were able to setup?

Cheers,
Michael.

Is the blue LED now completely off or lightly dimming?

Cheers,
Michael.

I have tried with the switch in both positions
I uploaded the " BLE Shield SoftSerial Test Sketch for Arduino 1.0.1" from the GitHub project page
I have tried killing the app, restarting the phone, and toggling bluetooth off and on
I can't remember if the connected light was on when I first connected to it
The blue light is now lightly dimmed

Well the dimming light is not a good indicator.
I had this once during the Beta test of the shield, but I have not yet found out why this happens.
It might be easily solved by reflashing the firmware, but for this you need to connect a CC-Debugger to it.
Would you mind sending it in? I can send you a replacement in the meantime.

Please contact my via m dot kroll at mac dot com in order to exchange postal addresses.

Sorry for the inconvenience,
Michael.
